Electrical Technician - Facilities Management - Stevenage - 43,000 Plus Overtime plus excellent benefits

After successful LVAP appointment a 2,500 uplift will be added

This company, a National player in the FM world, require an Electrical Technician to be based at their prestigious client site in Stevenage. An outstanding opportunity to become part of truly first-rate facility and play an integral role in initiating, controlling and completing routine and reactive maintenance to an exceptional standard.

Salary: 43,000 plus overtime plus excellent benefits

Location: Stevenage

Hours of work: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Role Responsibilities:

1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, providing maximum efficiency, availability and reliability of services and facilities.
2. Work to defined safe systems of work, policies and procedures.
3. Troubleshoot electrical faults and concerns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
4. Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, and safety standards in all work activities.
5. Tactical implementation of all 'make safe' isolation requirements & initial evidence gathering in electrical safety incidents.
6. Provides area ownership of all in scope electrical areas (HV / LV Substations, switch-rooms and apparatus).
7. Carry out necessary duties of LV and HV Authorised Person when appointed to do so.
8. Liaise with and respond to the Helpdesk ensuring urgent maintenance tasks are responded to within appropriate and contracted timescales.

The successful candidate:

1. Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in electrical discipline
2. BS7671 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
3. Demonstrable electrical experience within a building service & or industrial environment.
4. Demonstrable experience of positive customer interactions within a service provider contract.
5. Great communication, IT and literacy skills.
6. Demonstrable evidence of adherence to quality standards and compliance to regulations in a controlled / regulated environment (Preferably Pharma).
7. Willing to attain Authorised Person LV within probationary period and hold this appointment throughout employment (AP appointment is a requirement of the role and attracts an additional related payment).

Desirable:

1. C&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing.
2. HV AP or working towards with a desire to progress to this level and beyond.
