Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Director to lead a specialist M&E consultancy focused on data centres in Greater London. The role combines high-level technical leadership with team management, project delivery, commercial responsibility and business development.

You will work with the Director team on strategy while staying hands-on in design and delivery of mission-critical projects, influencing technical direction and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electrical building services engineering.
• Strong background in data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and develop talent.
• Ability to oversee complex MEP projects from concept to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, design and coordination of electrical services across data centre projects.
• Mentor engineering teams and support junior engineers.
• Hands-on involvement in concept design, technical reviews and calculations.
• Coordinate engineering services across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Manage projects commercially with fees, costs and margins.
• Support feasibility studies and project proposals.
• Engage with clients to establish technical and commercial requirements.
• Assist tendering and procurement of MEP contractors and equipment.
• Monitor construction, commissioning and testing.
• Undertake surveys and technical due diligence of facilities.
• Represent the business at client meetings and industry events.
