Job summary

Eligo Recruitment seeks an Electrical Technical Director to join our London office, leading the development, design and delivery of complex engineering projects while supporting business growth and strategy.

You will drive technical excellence, lead talented teams, and mentor engineers, ensuring projects meet UK regulations and client expectations while fostering long-term relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
• Extensive experience in building services design across sectors
• Strong leadership and project management capability
• Good knowledge of UK regulations, standards and H&S legislation
• Commercial awareness including contracts, invoicing and cost control
• Confident communicator with strong presentation skills
• Experience in consulting or construction environments preferred
• International project experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design, coordination and project delivery
• Manage project performance including fees, profitability and risk
• Define requirements with clients and build long-term relationships
• Oversee electrical systems design and QA/QC processes
• Monitor construction, installation and testing
• Support tendering and procurement of MEP contractors and equipment
• Represent the company at technical meetings and industry events
• Contribute to business development and sector growth
• Mentor and develop junior engineers
• Support office and sector management activities
