Bryden Wood is seeking a Technical Director – Electrical Engineering to lead electrical design for a portfolio of data centres in London and beyond, collaborating with architecture, structures, civils and sustainability teams.

The role demands a Chartered Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of data centre experience, strong leadership, communication and strategic thinking to drive technical excellence and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and Chartered.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience delivering Data Centre projects from a design perspective.
• Deep knowledge of data centre typologies including current and emerging technologies.
• Ability to contribute to strategic team growth and wider business development.
• Well organised and disciplined.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach.
• Dynamic problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for key data centre projects across international locations.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Structures, Civils and Sustainability and clients to deliver innovative designs.
• Mentor and manage design engineers, assign tasks, provide technical guidance and ensure team cohesion.
• Contribute to Board reporting and business development strategies.
• Manage project coordination, QA/QC procedures and risk management.
