JAVA Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager for a major prison project in East London. You will oversee electrical installation works, coordinate subcontractors and ensure delivery to drawings, specs and programmes on a long-term build and refurbishment contract.

The role requires a strong electrical building services background, ability to manage RAMS, permits and site QA, and effective liaison with clients, consultants and internal teams.

Qualifikationen

• Must have JIB card, SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and EL1 Prison Clearance.

Aufgaben

• Identify and resolve technical and logistical issues on site.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety throughout the project.

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading MEP contractor delivering a major new-build and refurbishment prison project in East London, who are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join the project team.

This is a long-term contract opportunity working on a complex MEP project, overseeing the delivery of electrical services and managing subcontractors, site teams and project stakeholders.

Previous prison experience is not essential. Candidates with strong electrical site management experience across commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial or other complex construction projects will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee electrical installation works across the project.

Coordinate electrical subcontractors, engineers and site operatives.

Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and project programmes.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience as an Electrical Site Manager / Electrical Supervisor / Electrical Construction Manager.

Strong electrical building services knowledge.

Experience working for an MEP or electrical contractor.

Proven experience managing electrical subcontractors and site teams.

Good understanding of electrical drawings and specifications.

Strong knowledge of health & safety and quality requirements.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Experience delivering electrical packages on major construction projects.

Prison, secure environment or government project experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
