Job summary

JAVA Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager for a major prison project in East London. You will oversee electrical installation works, coordinate subcontractors and ensure delivery to drawings, specs and programmes on a long-term build and refurbishment contract.

The role requires a strong electrical building services background, ability to manage RAMS, permits and site QA, and effective liaison with clients, consultants and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Must have JIB card, SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and EL1 Prison Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee electrical installation works across the project.
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors, engineers and site operatives.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and project programmes.
• Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, construction and other MEP disciplines.
• Carry out regular site inspections and ensure high standards of workmanship.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with relevant regulations and project specifications.
• Manage RAMS, permits, inspections and associated site documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical and logistical issues on site.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with subcontractors, consultants and client representatives.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety throughout the project.
