Nestlé UK&I Dalston Factory in Cumbria is seeking an experienced Shift Technician to join a 24-strong maintenance team. This permanent role reports to the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager and supports 4 on/4 off shift patterns with a 38-hour week.

You will work on automated PLC controlled processes, spray driers and evaporators, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency while maintaining technical documentation and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Formación

• Engineering Technician educated to NVQ Level 3 and/or time served apprenticeship within a FMCG/Manufacturing plant environment.
• Strong experience with pneumatics systems, pumps, motors, valves manifolds, homogenisers, pasteurisers, separators, blowing systems and vibratory sieves.
• Ideal experience with Spray Driers and Evaporators.
• Applies logical fault-finding techniques to diagnose and resolve equipment breakdowns.
• Urghency to meet operational demands while ensuring safety and product quality.
• Adapts to changing priorities and completes administrative tasks to ensure compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to breakdowns within the manufacturing process to maximise production output.
• Carry out day-to-day activities with focus on cost, efficiency, quality and administration to Nestlé requirements.
• Contribute to maintenance documentation upkeep.
• Support site initiatives including HACCP, ISO9002, CDM etc.
• Raise purchase orders and liaison with Maintenance Co-ordinator to manage stock within budget.
• Assist in remedial actions from engineering compliance audits.
