Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer for a 4 on/4 off contract in Belfast to maintain and improve high-speed production equipment. You will diagnose faults, read electrical schematics and work on PLC-controlled systems within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

The role requires strong electrical maintenance experience, PLC diagnostics skills and the ability to work independently on a rotating shift pattern. NVQ/City & Guilds/equivalent qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' maintenance experience in manufacturing/packaging.
• Strong electrical maintenance background with fault finding on automated production equipment.
• PLC experience including diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and improve production equipment to maximise uptime and efficiency.
• Carry out electrical and multi-skilled maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and documentation; fault-find PLC-controlled systems.
