Job summary

Nestlé UK&I in York is seeking an Engineering Technician to implement and execute the factory asset maintenance programme, aiming to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost to increase asset intensity.

You will provide technical expertise to reduce technical and production losses, coach colleagues, and participate in problem solving. A dual trained mechanical/electrical background with relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 and National Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Dual trained (mechanical and electrical) with manufacturing experience preferred.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and related qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to reduce both technical and production losses and coach teams.
• Input for annual maintenance budget; report and track maintenance work order costs.
• Support production to eliminate quality defects, safety risks and chronic issues.
• Lead and participate in breakdown analysis and problem solving.
• Ensure maintenance activities are scheduled and executed with high quality.
