Job summary

Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is recruiting a Shift Technician to join a highly automated PLC-based plant producing coffee and related beverages. The role reports to the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager and offers a permanent, full-time position with a 4 on/4 off shift pattern and 38 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Experience in FMCG/Manufacturing environments preferred.
• Proven fault-finding and breakdown repair abilities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns to maximise production output and maintain smooth operation.
• Contribute to cost, efficiency, quality, and administration to meet Nestlé requirements.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and compliance records.
• Support site initiatives including HACCP, ISO9002, and CDM.
• Raise purchase orders; liaise with Maintenance coordinator to manage stock within budget.
