Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions seeks an Electrical Shift Engineer for a commercial education building in Eltham, South London. The role focuses on electrical maintenance within a maintenance team on-site.

The candidate should be Electrically qualified with City & Guilds 2/3 and 18th edition, and able to start immediately or on short notice. The position offers a Monday–Friday split shift and a rate of £26 per hour, with potential to move to permanent employment and a salary up to £46k.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified with City & Guilds Level 2/3 and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Good communication skills and client-facing demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Lighting maintenance: small installs, fault-finding, lamping, ballast changes, control panels, power distribution.
• Maintain emergency lighting systems.
• Air Conditioning: AHU/FCU maintenance and filter changes.
• Chillers: reset and basic checks.
• Water treatment: temperature checks; monitor dosing.
• Plumbing: unblock toilets.
• Pumps and motors maintenance.
• BMS/EMS: monitor system readings.
• UPS systems: monitor and take readings.

A Fantastic opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in South London. CBW is currently looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to be based in a Commercial Education building. The successful candidate will be Electrically biased (NVQ, C&G etc) and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working with the maintenance team on-site, He or she will be required to carry out electrical and fabric maintenance to the following.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, Changing ballast, Control panel, Power distribution)
• Emergency lighting
• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Chillers - Reset
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
• Pumps, motors
• Water Treatment
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)
• UPS Systems - Monitor / Take readings

Hours of work / Rate

• Monday - Friday
• split shift - 9-5 / 10-7, weekly rotating
• Starting Monday 17/08
• Temp to perm
• £26p/h
• Up to £46k

Requirements
