Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer for a large commercial building in Charing Cross, London. The role is a 6 on 6 off days and nights shift with on-site maintenance duties and a salary of £50,000 per annum.

The successful candidate should be electrically biased (C&G/NVQ) with 18th edition, and have experience in building services. Benefits include uniform and tools, cycle to work, pension, 22 days holiday and opportunities for progression.

• Monitor BMS and assist with faults and repairs on site.
• Escort subcontractors and ensure H&S compliance.

Electrical Shift Engineer – 6 on 6 off days and nights shift – Commercial Building – Charing Cross, London – £50,000 Per annum

My client is looking for an Electrical Shift Engineer to be based in a commercial building in Charing Cross, London. A successful candidate will be electrically biased (C&G / NVQ). Working with the maintenance team on site, He or she will be required to carry out electrical maintenance. In return, the company offers a competitive salary of £48,000, further training and career progression.

Hours of work

6 on 6 off Shift - 6 days on 6 off 6 nights on 6 off.... - 07:00am - 19:00pm / 19:00am - 07:00am

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, Changing ballast's, Control panel, Power distribution)
• Emergency lighting
• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Chillers - Re-set
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Monitor mechanical plant
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
• Pumps, motors
• Water Treatment
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)
• Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
• Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
• Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.

• Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
• Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
• Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
• Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.

Requirements

• Electrically qualified level 3 or Mechanically qualified level 2(C&G, NVQ etc)
• 18th edition (If electrically qualified)
• Experience working in a large commercial building
• You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skillsExcellent customer skills
• Must be able to get to the site for 07:00 am start
