Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Shift Engineer for an on-site role in Eltham, South London. The position is temp to perm with a 9-5 or 10-7 rotating shift, offering £26 per hour and a potential move to permanent status.

Responsibilities include maintenance of AHUs, cooling towers, chillers, water treatment, pumps, BMS/UPS monitoring, lighting, and emergency lighting in a commercial education building. Trade certificates are required and immediate start is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Mechanically biased with NVQ, C&G etc.
• Must provide copies of trade certificates.
• Immediate availability or short notice.

Responsibilities

• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Dealing with maintenance & cooling towers; signing off work for audit
• Chillers - Reset
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
• Pumps, motors
• Water Treatment
• BMS System - Monitor (Hot & Colds)
• UPS Systems - Monitor / Take readings
• Lighting - installation, fault-finding, lamps, ballast, control panel, power distribution
• Emergency lighting

A Fantastic opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in South London. CBW is currently looking for A Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in a Commercial Education building.The successful candidate will be mechanically biased (NVQ, C&G etc) and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working with the maintenance team on-site, He or she will be required to carry out mechanical and fabric maintenance to the following.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Dealing with all aspects of maintenance & cooling towers & signing off work complete for an audit
• Chillers - Reset
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
• Pumps, motors
• Water Treatment
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)
• UPS Systems - Monitor / Take readings
• Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, Changing ballast, Control panel, Power distribution)
• Emergency lighting

Hours of work / Rate

• Monday - Friday
• split shift - 9-5 / 10-7, weekly rotating
• Starting Monday 17/08
• Temp to perm
• £26p/h
• Up to £46k

Requirements

• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• Mechanically / Plumbing qualified - City & Guilds Level 2&3 etc
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Good communication skills
