Job summary

Omexom in the United Kingdom is seeking a Graduate Project Manager (Electrical) to shadow and learn from the Project Manager, leading a high-value multi-discipline team to deliver a current project pipeline on time and within budget.

You will plan, execute, and close projects, coordinating teams, resources, and stakeholders while developing professionally to meet demanding KPIs and governance requirements.

Qualifications

• Academic Degree: A Bachelor’s (BEng / BSc) or Master’s (MEng) degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering
• Safety & Site Certifications: In the UK, a valid CSCS card or an equivalent health and safety passport
• Introductory Project Management (Desirable)
• Technical / Regulations Knowledge such as BS 7671 / 18th Edition
• Driving Licence: A full clean driving licence.
• Internships or Placements: Industry placement years or summer internships with a main contractor
• Exposure to Project Environments: Experience acting as a Project Coordinator, Scheduler, or Administrator
• Software Competency: Familiarity with data tracking tools like Microsoft Excel, scheduling software like MS Project, and drawing viewers/design suites like AutoCAD
• Ability to function within a combined client and supplier partner team.

Responsibilities

• Full management and delivery responsibility for assigned projects.
• Develop appropriate strategies and budgets; lead, develop and support project team to deliver projects in line with these and to a high standard.
• Manage all operational aspects of the project including full profit and loss, health and safety and quality assurance.
• Professionally represent Omexom, both individually and as part of a team, in a wide range of situations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a mentor to assigned personnel and project staff.
• Present and report to internal and external stakeholders regarding operational performance and recommended improvements for project delivery.
• Lead and deliver projects in line with the Omexom governance framework.
• Assist with bid management, tender reviews and bid validation.
• Maintain effective communication and relationships both internally to ensure optimum project delivery, and externally with customers to develop a relationship of trust on which future business can be secured.
• Operate clear management, claims, non-conformance cost and lessons learned processes on all projects within remit.
• Create and maintain a high level of personal and team performance in matters relating to Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and financial targets and constraints.
