Job summary

Talk Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Project Manager for Bristol on a circa 2-year project portfolio. You will oversee the full electrical procurement, coordinate direct and sub-contract labour, and produce manuals and drawings for handover.

The role involves cost forecasting, risk management and client meetings. Based on a Bristol site, you will also develop Project Engineers and Site Managers while handling several projects concurrently on a 18–24 month fixed-term basis with a view to

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Building Sector.
• Previous employment as a Project Manager, Contracts Manager, Project Engineer or Site Manager.
• Electrical bias.
• Experience in building sector projects (Commercial, Mixed Use, Residential, Student Accommodation, Hotels, MOJ, Industrial, Education or Healthcare).
• Experience with Sub contractor or main contractor employment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC).

Responsibilities

• Manage full electrical procurement.
• Organise and monitor direct labour and sub-contract labour for project handover.
• Produce record and maintenance manuals and drawings/literature.
• Place and procure sub-contract orders for specialised systems.
• Forecast and monitor costs.
• Manage project risks.
• Attend client meetings.
• Oversee Project Engineers and Site Managers in support of their development.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.

Role:

• Managing the full electrical procurement
• Organising and monitoring various direct labour and sub contract labour to ensure a successful project handover
• Producing record and maintenance manuals including record drawings and manufacturers literature
• Placing and procuring sub contract orders for specialised systems
• Cost forecasting and monitoring
• Risk management
• Client meetings.
• Oversee Project Engineers, Site Managers , working in full support of their development and future role with the company
• Overseeing several projects concurrently.

Requirements:

To be considered for this Electrical Project Manager role you must meet the following criteria:

• Knowledge of Building Sector.
• Previous employment as a Project Manager, Contracts Manager, Project Engineer or Site Manager.
• Electrical Bias.
• Previous experience in building sector projects such as Commercial, Mixed Use, Residential, Apartment Blocks, Student Accommodation, Hotels, Extra Care Housing, MOJ, Industrial, Education or Healthcare.
• Previous Sub contractor or maincontractor employment.
• High level of communication skills.
• Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).

Location:

Based on Bristol site.

Circa 2 year long project starting.

Remuneration:

Seeking a candidate on a 18 month - 24 month fixed term permanent arrangement to cover the duration of the project, on the basis cannot guarentee further work local in Bristol after this project.

The successful Electrical Project Manager will receive:

• £50,000 - £60,000 Basic (Dependent on experience)
