Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical installations across residential and commercial projects in the North West.

Based in Manchester/Liverpool, the role covers design through handover, leading on-site teams, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with 18th Edition and current regulations.

Applicants should have UK experience, JIB Gold Card, NVQ Level 3, and SMSTS/SSSTS desirable; full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• UK electrical contracting experience in residential and commercial schemes.
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and H&S practices.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the North West.

Responsibilities

• Full project management of electrical installations for new-build apartments and commercial buildings.
• Managing projects from design to installation, testing and handover.
• Leading on-site teams, sub-contractors and supervisors.
• Attending client and design team meetings and site progress reviews.
• Ensuring delivery on time, within budget, high quality.
• Managing RAMS and compliance with 18th Edition and regs.
• Ordering materials, variations, and controlling costs.
• Liaising with clients, main contractors and internal teams.

Electrical Project Manager

Location: North West - Manchester & Liverpool

Permanent | Full-Time

Our client, a well-established M&E Contractor, is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical installations across residential and commercial projects in the North West.This is a permanent position covering projects across Manchester, Liverpool and surrounding areas. They have a number of high rise apartment clients so would prefer experience of delivering installations on similar schemes.

The Role:

• Full project management of electrical installations for new-build apartments, residential developments, and commercial buildings
• Managing projects from initial design, procurement and costing through to installation, testing and final handover
• Leading and managing on-site electrical teams, sub-contractors and supervisors
• Attending client meetings, design team meetings and site progress meetings
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality standard
• Managing Health & Safety, RAMS, and ensuring compliance with 18th Edition and current regulations
• Ordering materials, managing variations, and controlling project costs
• Liaising with clients, main contractors and internal teams

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager / Electrical Contracts Manager within the UK
• Strong background in residential apartments, housing developments and commercial projects essential
• Electrically qualified - JIB Gold Card, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition (2391 Test & Inspect advantageous)
• SMSTS / SSSTS and CSCS card desirable
• Excellent knowledge of electrical installation methods and UK building regulations
• Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills
• IT literate with ability to manage project documentation
• Full UK Driving Licence - travel between Manchester & Liverpool required
