Job summary

RJ International Limited is seeking a Project Engineer to lead electrical technical reviews on battery storage and generation projects across Great Britain. You will verify designs, supervise site installations and ensure grid compliance, with travel required two to three days a week.

The role covers HV and LV networks, DC systems, protection, earthing and cabling, and involves coordinating with operators and NEC contract administration. A driving licence and field experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical design drawings, single line diagrams, protection, earthing and cabling designs against the specification and network operator requirements.
• Inspect installations on site against approved drawings, raise non-conformances and defects, and verify close out.
• Review technical studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, harmonics and earthing studies) and challenge assumptions where needed.
• Witness testing and commissioning of HV and LV AC systems, DC battery systems and power conversion equipment.
• Travel to project sites across Great Britain at least two to three days a week.
