Job summary
Imperial Recruitment Group in Northampton is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the Operations team across field-based sites, ensuring electrical activities comply with IEE and British Standards. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and install electrical systems, manage small projects, and oversee HV/LV/ELV circuits, with a hands-on approach and a strong commitment to safety.
A City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification is required; a full driving licence is essential; competitive
Qualifications
- Significant experience as an operational Electrical Engineer.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition Electrical qualification.
- Experience reading schematics and fault finding on HV/LV/ELV circuits.
- Experience managing small electrical projects and driving licence.
- Thermography equipment experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support maintenance and fault finding on electrical equipment across the fleet.
- Assemble, install, test, certify and maintain electrical wiring and panels.
- Plan and carry out small projects with Operations Support.
- HV switching and network management; troubleshoot PLCs.
- Carry out Thermography checks and CMMS integration.
- Manage contractors and ensure compliance with UK standards.
- PPM scheduling and continuous improvement ideas.
