Job summary

Equans seeks an M&E Engineer in Derby for a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours/week). You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance across energy systems, including new installations and breakdowns, with on-call duties.

The ideal candidate holds electrotechnical qualifications and has experience with JSP375 standards and BS7671 regulations. The package includes a competitive salary and benefits, 24 days’ leave (25 after 2 years), life cover, discount schemes, gym and cycle-to-work

Qualifications

• Electrical competency – BS7671 18th Edition is essential.
• AM2 qualification is required or desirable.
• NVQ level 3 electrotechnical is recommended.
• Level 2/3 electrotechnical diploma or equivalent recognised.
• L3 in inspection and testing (C&G 2391) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPMs and reactive electrical works including lighting, sockets, RCDs.
• Carry out mechanical works in energy centre, pressure vessels, water systems, AHUs.
• Respond to reactive callouts on critical systems.
• Complete compliance testing and minor works to JSP375 standard.
• Undertake new installations and major/minor electrical repair works.
• Participate in on-call rota.

Education

Level 2 electrotechnical diploma (C&G 2330, 2365 or equivalent)

NVQ level 3 electrotechnical

AM2 qualification

L3 in inspection & testing (C&G 2391)
