Mobile Maintenance Engineer - Electrical & Mechanical (Electrical Bias)

Location: Tameside, mobile across Tameside sites

Contract: Full time, permanent. Hours: 40 hours week. Core hours Monday - Friday between 8am and 5pm (variable) and On Call rota covering 24/7/365

Your new role

What you’ll do:

  • To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of various contracts.
  • To undertake planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work on equipment as defined by your core and non-core skills as per the agreed client programme.
  • Provide timely updates to the helpdesk on progress of reactive works and completion of reactive/planned tasks.
  • Provide written technical reports as required, including routine maintenance and reactive reports.
  • Diagnosing faults on all M & E systems and rectifying as within levels of competence.
  • To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools.
  • Facilitate site attendance by specialist sub-contractors as required by the contract.
  • Complete all regulatory and mandated documents such as Permit to Work Systems as required.
  • Undertake job specific risk assessments as may be required prior to starting work.

About you:

  • Recognised trade apprenticeship
  • Experience in electrical power distribution systems/ lighting systems/ 18th Edition
  • Experience with BMS Control Systems
  • City & Guilds NVQ in Servicing and Maintaining Air Conditioning - desirable
  • Experience in HVAC control systems - desirable

Valid UK Driving Licence required, minimum 12 months.

The successful candidate will require an Enhanced DBS with Child Barred List Check before starting in the job.
