Job summary

SRG in Horsham, West Sussex, seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a permanent role on a 4-on/4-off shift (2 days, 2 nights). You will cover planned maintenance and breakdowns, working 06:30-18:30 and 18:30-06:30, ensuring plant performance and safety.

You will diagnose electrical faults, repair motors, relays, sensors, PLCs, and control panels, supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced industrial environment. A strong Electrical/Electronic Engineering background is required.

Qualifications

Qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC or equivalent).
Strong experience in industrial, manufacturing, or automated environments.
Competent in fault finding, diagnostics, and maintenance.
Familiar with PLC fault finding (any platform).
Control and instrumentation systems experience.
18th Edition (BS7671) advantageous.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns.
Diagnose and repair faults across electrical systems including sensors, relays, and contactors; motors and MCCs.
Work with PLCs and control systems to maintain plant performance.
Interpret technical drawings and fault-find efficiently.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and project work.
