Hunter Selection is recruiting for an Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer in Ellesmere Port on a 4on4off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights). The role focuses on proactive and reactive maintenance of high‑volume processing equipment on a well‑invested site, offering £51,000+ with overtime and strong progression opportunities.

You will perform electrical and mechanical PPM, reactive maintenance, and breakdown support, report to the Maintenance Manager, and contribute to CI/Kaizen projects.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship (dual skilled engineer)
• Strong background in Packaging, FMCG, or similar environments
• Confident fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, rollers, tensioners, valves
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, sometimes messy, fast-paced environment
• Motivated team player with a proactive approach to engineering challenges

Responsabilités

• Electrical & mechanical PPM, reactive and breakdown maintenance
• Working as part of a skilled, friendly engineering team
• Reporting into an experienced Maintenance Manager
• Maintaining fast-moving, high-volume industrial production equipment
• Involvement in CI/Kaizen projects and cross-functional improvements
• Supporting machinery upgrades, installations, and site improvements
• Access to internal and external training to support development
• Ensuring safe working practices at all times
