Job summary

Our client, a large manufacturing business near Croydon, seeks an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance and CAPEX projects. Manage a small team of engineers and external contractors, plan activities, oversee budget, and ensure HSE compliance.

You will hold an electrical engineering qualification, and have strong PLC knowledge, IOSH/NEBOSH training, and 5+ years of supervisory experience in industrial settings.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of management/supervisory experience.

• Recognised electrical engineering qualification.
• IOSH or NEBOSH training preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems.

Job description

Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Maintenance Supervisor.
Salary £65K - £70K Neg + Bonus

We are seeking an experienced electrical bias maintenance engineer to manage & control all maintenance and CAP-ex project activities at a large heavy industry processing plant near Croydon.

The Role:

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all planned & reactive maintenance activities and some CAPEX project work.
Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;

• Maintain and develop the existing CMMS
• Management & control of a small team of maintenance engineers and also external contractors
• Plan, manage and control all maintenance activities and engineering projects
• Effective Budget and CAPEX Project management
• Monitoring, sourcing and ordering spare and replacement parts
• Ensure adequate staff training, recruitment and disciplinary needs are met
• Adopt a continuous improvement approach and help to deliver efficiency and cost savings where possible
• Ensure compliance with all legal and HSE requirements
• Provide "Hands-on" assistance with electrical and mechanical engineering maintenance and repair of plant and machinery.

Candidate:

You will be an experienced electrical maintenance supervisor / manager with previous experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector e.g. chemical plants, plastics, metals, quarry or recycling.

You will have at least 5 years management /supervisory experience and you must me confident in leading a small team of engineers and external contractors.

You will hold recognised electrical engineering qualification and ideally you will be trained in health & safety management to IOSH or NEBOSH level.

You will have a recognised qualification in electrical engineering e.g. HNC, degree or 18th edition certification and you will have good knowledge and understanding of plc systems.
We are seeking a highly organised and effective leader who will maintain a visible presence around the plant.
