Staffbase Recruitment is working with a client in manufacturing to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor in Croydon. The role leads a small team of engineers and external contractors, delivering planned and reactive maintenance and CAPEX projects.

You will maintain the CMMS, manage budgets, and drive improvements while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on site.

Job description

Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Maintenance Supervisor.

Salary £65K - £70K Neg + Bonus

The Role

• The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all planned & reactive maintenance activities and some CAPEX project work.
• Maintain and develop the existing CMMS
• Management & control of a small team of maintenance engineers and also external contractors
• Plan, manage and control all maintenance activities and engineering projects
• Effective Budget and CAPEX Project management
• Monitoring, sourcing and ordering spare and replacement parts
• Ensure adequate staff training, recruitment and disciplinary needs are met
• Adopt a continuous improvement approach and help to deliver efficiency and cost savings where possible
• Ensure compliance with all legal and HSE requirements
• Provide "Hands-on" assistance with electrical and mechanical engineering maintenance and repair of plant and machinery.

Candidate: You will be an experienced electrical maintenance supervisor / manager with previous experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector e.g. chemical plants, plastics, metals, quarry or recycling.

You will have at least 5 years management /supervisory experience and you must me confident in leading a small team of engineers and external contractors.

You will hold recognised electrical engineering qualification and ideally you will be trained in health & safety management to IOSH or NEBOSH level.

You will have a recognised qualification in electrical engineering e.g. HNC, degree or 18th edition certification and you will have good knowledge and understanding of plc systems.

We are seeking a highly organised and effective leader who will maintain a visible presence around the plant.
