Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Day Shift (Transitioning to Day/Back Shift Rotation in 2026)

Shifts: Day Shift 7:30 – 16:00, Mon‑Fri
Call outs (after probation): 1 in 6 week rotation (Mon 7:00 am through to following Monday 7:00 am). Call out payment included.
Attention – All candidates will be on day shift until April/May 2026, and then a Day Shift to Back Shift rotation will take place (4 weeks of days followed by 4 weeks of back shift; you will not be on call out when you are working the back shift).
Back Shift: Mon‑Thu 3 pm‑11:30 pm; Fri 11 am‑4 pm; +26% shift premium.

Role Overview
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will join a Reliability & Maintenance Engineering team supporting a high‑tech production environment. Your work will ensure the smooth, safe, and reliable operation of advanced manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance across a range of production machinery.
- Respond to machine breakdowns and apply safe, effective fault‑finding and repair techniques.
- Proactively identify root causes of recurring issues and propose improvement initiatives.
- Provide structured, professional reporting of maintenance findings.

Shift Information
- Day Shift (until April/May 2026): Mon‑Fri 07:30‑16:00
- Day/Back Shift Rotation (from 2026):
- Back Shift: Mon‑Thu 15:00‑23:30; Fri 11:00‑16:00
- 26% shift premium
What You'll Need
- Time‑served apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent electrical maintenance experience.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Skilled electrical maintenance capability with sound mechanical understanding.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematic drawings.
- Experience using maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP).
- Effective teamworking and communication skills.
- Logical PLC fault‑finding skills.
- Knowledge of Reliability‑Centred Maintenance and Condition‑Based Monitoring techniques.
- IPAF & FLT training provided where required.
