Job summary

John Sisk & Son Ltd is seeking an Electrical Lead to join our Life Science team in Macclesfield. You will steer the delivery of electrical systems across large-scale pharmaceutical projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and on-schedule execution.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will mentor engineers, coordinate with MEP and client teams, and drive validation, handover, and IST activities. The role demands strong leadership and a track record in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent
• Experience leading electrical delivery on Tier 1 construction or engineering projects
• Relevant health and safety training (e.g. Safe Pass, CSCS or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical team and oversee delivery of all electrical systems including LV/MV distribution, UPS, generators, lighting, fire alarms and life safety systems
• Ensure all electrical works meet programme, cost and quality objectives
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, supervisors and subcontractors to ensure effective delivery
• Develop and implement strategies for electrical execution, resource allocation and planning
• Review and approve electrical design documents, technical submittals and material selections
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards and regulations (e.g. IEC, BS, IEEE, NFPA)
• Oversee FATs, SATs, commissioning and integrated system testing (IST) for electrical scope
• Support validation and handover processes with accurate documentation and system certification
• Drive health, safety and environmental compliance across all electrical works
• Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures for electrical systems
• Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Act as the primary point of contact for electrical scope with clients, consultants and regulatory bodies
• Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, process, instrumentation and BMS teams to ensure project integration
• Lead electrical coordination meetings and provide accurate reporting on progress, risks and opportunities to project leadership
