Job summary

Hull College is seeking a Lecturer in Electrical Installation to deliver high-quality teaching and learning across a range of courses. You will support learners to develop knowledge, practical skills and confidence throughout their programme of study, while working with curriculum leaders to drive continuous improvement.

You will engage in planning, tutorials, recruitment activities and contribute to quality assurance and curriculum design, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of the subject area and

Qualifications

• Subject specialism (minimum Level 3/4)
• Cert. Ed/PGCE or willingness to work towards
• GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
• Experience of working in an academic setting and working with learners to support their needs
• Knowledge of the specialist sector
• Organisational, administrative and time management skills
• Ability to use own initiative to develop and improve the service within the constraints of the College policy and procedures

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality teaching across courses and engage students of all abilities
• Plan, prepare and update schemes of work, lesson plans and online materials using Canvas
• Coordinate and support course activities to meet curriculum targets
• Lead academic tutorials for students and support IV/IQA processes
• Support marketing, recruitment and interviewing activities for students
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of subject area and college policies
• Contribute to quality assurance and curriculum design within the area
• Ensure training is completed in line with college guidance and DBS requirements
