Job summary

Compass Group UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Hard Services Manager / Electrical Engineering Manager to lead planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of schools and buildings. This hands-on role combines Hard FM management, compliance, contractor oversight and client engagement, with responsibility for budgets and resources.

You will manage engineers and subcontractors, promote a strong health and safety culture, and use CAFM data to drive improvements while ensuring statutory

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management experience in Hard FM.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
• Electrical fault-finding, testing and inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive Hard Services maintenance.
• Manage engineers and subcontractors, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Drive health, safety and environmental culture across the operation.
• Ensure services meet SLAs and statutory requirements.
• Manage budgets and resources to meet targets.
• Deputise for Contract Manager when required.
• Use CAFM data to improve service efficiency and performance.
• Produce reports and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
