Job summary

Cambridge Maintenance Services Limited is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to service a portfolio of clients. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, diagnose faults, and ensure safety and reliability while keeping precise records.

The role requires a City & Guilds Level 3 electrical installation qualification, an inspection & testing certificate, and a full UK driving licence. A strong hands-on approach and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold City & Guilds Level 3 electrical installation qualification or equivalent.
• Inspections and testing qualification required (e.g., 2391-52).
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities with electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret and analyse electrical diagrams and circuits.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver service to clients and complete work to high standards and contract requirements.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive faults.
• Diagnose faults and arrange replacements to minimise downtime.
• Perform quality inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain records using the Elogbooks facilities management system.
• Coordinate with Lead Engineer and Support Desk on schedules and reporting.
• Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-out rota as required.
• Carry out hands-on tasks across client sites and adhere to safety policies.
• Build professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Support the wider team with additional duties when needed.
