Job summary

Cambridge Maintenance Services Limited is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across client sites. You will ensure equipment operates safely, with hands-on involvement and strict adherence to standards.

You will complete PPM tasks, diagnose faults, and coordinate with the Lead Engineer, while maintaining detailed records. A driver’s licence and up-to-date electrical qualifications are essential for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of M&E building services.
• Relevant Electrical Installation qualification (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent).
• Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2391-52).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to interpret and analyse electrical systems.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Methodical approach to record keeping and reporting.
• Hands-on attitude with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to clients to meet contractual standards.
• Carry out PPM and respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and arrange replacements to minimise downtime.
• Complete quality inspections meeting industry standards.
• Maintain records through Elogbooks facilities management system.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with Lead Engineer and Support Desk.
• Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota.
• Undertake hands-on tasks across client sites.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and regs.
• Develop professionally through training and up-to-date qualifications.
• Build relationships with clients and colleagues, representing the business.
