Job summary

MEPJOBS UK is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its commercial team in Basildon. You will prepare detailed estimates for projects up to £5 million, reviewing drawings and tender docs and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams throughout the tender process.

The role requires interpreting electrical drawings, knowledge of building-services systems and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office.

Qualifications

Experience as Electrical Estimator in an M&E/building-services contractor.
Knowledge of electrical building-services systems.
Experience on public-sector projects (education/healthcare).

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for projects valued up to £5 million.
Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
Produce project costings within required tender timescales.
Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Identify potential project risks and value-engineering opportunities.
Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
Work with the pre-construction and project teams to hand over successful tenders.
Remain informed about relevant industry standards, regulations and pricing.
