Zusammenfassung

SSE is seeking an Operational Electrical Engineer in the Onshore Wind, Solar & Battery Electrical Engineering team to help maintain asset integrity across wind, solar and BESS sites. Based in Central/Southern Scotland, you will support operations with technical guidance and risk management.

You will lead outages, monitor plant health, review reports, and drive improvements with contractors while supporting new build projects and ensuring safe, reliable operation.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Operational SAP experience or ability to achieve sufficient competence; strong knowledge of electrical equipment and systems.
• Experience managing projects and contractors with a proven delivery track record.

Aufgaben

• Provide operational safety from system up to 275kV and handle maintenance, fault response, refurbishment, and commissioning.
• Lead outage planning and delivery, monitor plant health, and recommend maintenance strategies.
• Manage projects and design improvements for wind, solar and battery assets.
• Manage contractors, including scope, planning, and safety/environmental performance monitoring.
• Provide technical support to Operations, contribute to budgets, and engage in technical meetings.
