Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is hiring an Electrical Engineer to join our team on the Manchester Arndale contract. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, inspect equipment and respond to breakdowns in a busy retail environment.

The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off with early 06:30–15:30, late 13:00–22:00 and nights 22:00–08:00, and the role requires 18th Edition, HV/LV AP, NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and AM2, with solid IT skills.

• Ability to record work accurately on worksheets and systems

Responsibilities

• Plan, inspect, and carry out repairs or preventative maintenance as required and respond to breakdowns promptly.
• Carry out reactive and planned services in a retail environment.
• Possess trade skills or prior experience in a similar role.
• Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and queries.
• Support subcontractors on attending site.
• Provide technical guidance to the client and contract support.
• Carry out minor building fabric repairs.
• Ensure all work meets specifications and health & safety legislation.
• Maintain site documentation and records.

About The Role:

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off rota with early shifts of 06.30 to 15.30, late shifts 13.00 to 22.00 and nights 22.00 to 08.00.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Electrical Engineer to join our team working on one of our key contracts - Manchester Arndale!

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Planning, inspecting, and carrying out repairs or preventative maintenance as required and responding to breakdowns in a timely fashion.
• Carry out reactive and planned services in a retail environment.
• Trade skills are desirable or previous experience performing In a similar role
• Being an ambassador for the customer; dealing professionally with complaints and queries
• support engineer sub-contractors upon attending site.
• Providing technical guidance to the client and contract support
• Carrying out minor building fabric repairs
• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with agreed specifications and in line with Health & Safety legislation.
• Upkeeping of site documentation

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• You must have the right to work in the UK
• Ideal C&G Qualified in electrical discipline (18 th Edition)
• Candidate needs to be HV/LV AP
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (Or equivalent)
• AM2
• Must be IT literate to a good standard using Microsoft Word, Excel etc
• Understanding of planned preventative maintenance regimes
• Experience of completing risk assessments and method statements; along with issuing permit to work for hard service tasks
• Experience using BMS system.
• Knowledge of maintenance schedules and SFG 20 would be desirable
• Ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer-based systems
