Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Gateshead to deliver high-quality electrical designs for power distribution and control systems across industrial applications. Permanent, full-time role with a salary of £40,000 - £55,000 plus private healthcare, health cash plan and generous benefits; excellent career prospects within a growing engineering business.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in electrical design within power distribution, electrical manufacturing, control systems, automation, or related engineering environment.
• Ability to produce and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience using AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar electrical design software.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical engineering standards and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings for power distribution and control systems.
• Develop bespoke engineering solutions to meet project and customer requirements.
• Create and maintain accurate design documentation using AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar software.
• Collaborate with project engineers and production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Provide technical support throughout manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Assist with resolving technical challenges during project delivery.
