Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Plymouth, UK to lead the day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design on multi-disciplinary building projects. You will oversee deliverables and coordinate with architects and engineering teams.

You will mentor graduates and apprentices, manage WIP and workload planning, and contribute to project invoicing and commercial success. A relevant degree and UK experience are required; Chartered status or progression is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an electrical engineer in the UK delivering electrical and M&E solutions across building sectors.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and tools including Revit.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with architects and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery of electrical design on multi-disciplinary building projects.
• Oversee production of design deliverables: specifications, drawings, and schedules.
• Support commercial success through invoicing, WIP management, and workload/resource planning.
• Mentor graduates and apprentices and support their career development.
