Job summary

JAM is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop LV and HV electrical systems for power generation, distribution and battery energy storage projects in the UK. You will work with Design Engineers and clients to produce designs and technical documentation from concept through construction and as-built stages.

The role requires experience in electrical power systems across LV and HV design, knowledge of Amtech sizing, and proficiency with AutoCAD, with strong liaison to DNOs and grid

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical power systems across LV and HV designs.
• Proficient with Amtech cable sizing and protection schemes.
• Familiar with UK Grid Code requirements and DNO interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design LV/HV networks from 0.4kV to 32kV and 24VDC to 1500VDC.
• Produce electrical designs and technical documentation from design to as-built.
• Prepare SLDs, cable schedules and switchgear specifications.
• Review drawings and vendor data sheets for HV equipment.
• Produce drawings using AutoCAD and coordinate with project teams.
