Job summary

Edina is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our design team on a full-time, permanent basis in the Manchester area. The role involves designing LV/HV electrical networks, power generation and distribution systems, and DC systems for BESS projects, producing detailed drawings and documentation.

You will work across LV/HV networks, switchboards, transformers and other equipment, collaborating with clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level HND - Electrical Engineering.
• At least five years’ experience in construction or engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for electrical drawings.
• Experience with Trimble and/or Amtech.
• IT skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Full current driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop LV/HV electrical networks and DC systems for BESS projects.
• Produce electrical designs and technical documentation for switchboards and transformers.
• Develop protection schemes and cable sizing; prepare specifications.
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients, DNOs and suppliers; support site progress and updates.
