Job summary

Edina in Manchester is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our design team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work on LV and HV electrical networks, power generation and distribution systems, and DC systems for BESS projects.

The role requires five years' experience in construction or engineering, strong AutoCAD ability, and familiarity with Trimble/Amtech. A full UK driving licence is essential; typical hours are 8:30–17:00 Mon-Thu, with Friday shorter hours.

Qualifications

City & Guilds Level HND in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum five years' experience in construction or engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical drawings.
Experience with Trimble and/or Amtech.
Good IT skills and MS Office proficiency.
Full valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

Design and develop LV and HV electrical networks and power systems for projects.
Produce electrical designs, drawings and technical documentation.
Develop LV/HV protection schemes and conductor sizing.
Prepare specifications for switchboards, transformers and equipment.
Collaborate with colleagues, clients, DNOs and suppliers; perform site visits as needed.
