Job summary

Vickerstock are recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer for their County Tyrone operation. You will take ownership of electrical design across complex manufactured equipment and collaborate with mechanical engineers and production.

This permanent, full-time role offers a £40,000-£55,000 salary, a 10% annual bonus, a strong pension and clear progression opportunities within a well-established engineering group.

Qualifications

• Experience designing electrical systems for machinery or manufactured products.
• Ability to produce and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• Strong understanding of electrical components, control systems, and practical engineering.
• Experience using electrical CAD software for design work.
• Excellent technical problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for complex manufactured equipment.
• Produce electrical schematics, drawings and documentation.
• Specify and select electrical components and equipment.
• Develop and modify existing electrical designs to support product improvements.
• Work closely with Mechanical Design Engineers to ensure effective integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Provide technical support to Manufacturing during build, assembly and testing.
• Investigate and resolve electrical design and production-related engineering issues.
• Ensure designs meet relevant technical, safety and quality requirements.
• Support engineering changes and maintain accurate design documentation.
• Contribute to new product development and Continuous Improvement activities.
• Work with suppliers and internal departments on technical requirements where required.
