Location: Wigan
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + Excellent Benefits
We are recruiting on behalf of a successful British manufacturer of specialist power systems and electrical infrastructure solutions, as they continue an exciting period of growth.
From its beginnings as a small R&D business around 35 years ago, they have developed into a thriving engineering and manufacturing company delivering increasingly large, prestigious and technically challenging projects for major commercial, industrial and utility clients across the UK.
Despite that growth, the business has retained its family-orientated culture. People matter, individual contribution is recognised and you are not simply another number within a large corporate engineering department.
You will be a strong electrical design engineer who can think at a systems level, rather than simply designing individual components.
Experience within any of the following areas would be particularly relevant:
You do not need experience across every area. They are equally interested in engineers with strong transferable electrical design skills, excellent problem-solving ability and the capability to develop complete system solutions.
An HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
This is an opportunity to join an established British manufacturer at an important stage of its growth.
You will work on larger clients, bigger projects and increasingly technically challenging engineering solutions, while retaining the visibility, influence and personal environment of a smaller business.
They design and manufacture its solutions under one roof in Wigan, giving engineers the opportunity to see projects develop from initial concept through design, manufacture and ultimately installation.
This would suit an engineer who enjoys technical problem-solving, ownership and seeing their designs become real engineered solutions, while working within a supportive business where people genuinely matter
