Qualifications

  • Holder of a recognized Time-Served Apprenticeship in Control & Instrumentation or Electrical.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance of processing plants.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and ability to work on-call.

As an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Technician for our Gas Storage Assets, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Stublach site in Cheshire. Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the safe operation of gas handling assets, protecting personnel and the environment
  • Perform maintenance activities and oversee specialist contractors
  • Prepare and implement C&I/Electrical isolations for plant and equipment maintenance
  • Participate in the Emergency Response Team during site incidents
  • Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct routine testing and inspections of operational equipment
  • Collaborate with the maintenance scheduling team to optimize activities
  • Participate in training new employees and share operational knowledge
Qualifications
  • Holder of a recognized Time-Served Apprenticeship in Control & Instrumentation or Electrical
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance of processing plants, preferably in oil/gas/chemical/COMAH industries
  • NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent vocational/technical diploma in a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Control & Instrumentation systems and safety protocols
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), preferably ABB 800xA
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong communicator with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Committed to continuous improvement and learning new skills
  • Ability to commit to an on‑call rota
  • Residing within 30 minutes travel time from the Stublach Site due to on‑call requirements
