Job summary

Coventry University Group is looking for an experienced Contractor Controller (Electrical) to join our Estates Team in Coventry. You will supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance across our estate, ensuring works are delivered safely and to a high standard.

The role requires knowledge of 18th Edition BS 7671, RAMS and permits, and travel to campuses including Scarborough, Milton Keynes, Central London and Dagenham with occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising contractors and managing RAMS/permits.
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Contractor Controller (Electrical)

Coventry University Group is looking for an experienced Contractor Controller (Electrical) to join our Estates Team.

You will supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance contractors across our estate, ensuring planned and reactive works, statutory inspections and minor projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to a high standard.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor, Senior Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Coordinator, Building Services Engineer or similar.

You will have:

• Relevant electrical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Experience supervising contractors and managing RAMS/permits.
• Good understanding of electrical compliance and safe working practices.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

The role requires travel to Coventry University Group campuses including Scarborough, Milton Keynes, Central London and Dagenham, with occasional overnight stays and participation in the management call-out rota.
