Job summary

Coventry University Group is looking for an experienced Contractor Controller (Electrical) to join our Estates Team in Coventry. You will supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance across our estate, ensuring works are delivered safely and to a high standard.

The role requires knowledge of 18th Edition BS 7671, RAMS and permits, and travel to campuses including Scarborough, Milton Keynes, Central London and Dagenham with occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising contractors and managing RAMS/permits.
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor electrical contractors and contract performance.
• Coordinate planned, reactive and statutory maintenance.
• Review RAMS and permits to work and ensure electrical safety compliance.
• Monitor workmanship, KPIs and service levels.
• Provide technical guidance and support with fault finding and incidents.
• Use the Planon CAFM system to manage works and compliance records.
• Liaise with contractors, technical teams and University stakeholders.
