Job summary

Avolon M&E is recruiting an Electrical Construction Manager for their M&E/rail projects across West London. You will lead day-to-day electrical works, coordinating with PMs, engineers, supervisors and subcontractors to deliver on schedule and to required standards.

The role requires strong electrical building services expertise, prior CM/Site Manager experience, and a track record delivering large-scale M&E packages on major rail schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical building services as a lead or supervisor.
• Past role as Electrical Construction Manager or Electrical Site Manager.
• Experience delivering large-scale M&E packages in construction.
• Strong site and subcontractor management capabilities.
• SMSTS and CSCS/ECS health & safety cards are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day electrical works on site and ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage supervisors, subcontractors and site labour to plan.
• Monitor programme progress and report variances.
• Ensure installations meet project quality and specification requirements.
• Manage health and safety plans and RAMS coordination.

Electrical Construction Manager - M&E / Rail

Salary: £65,000-£85,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Travel + Benefits

An established M&E contractor delivering major packages across HS2 is looking to appoint experienced Electrical Construction Managers across several West London project locations.

There are current and upcoming requirements across West Ruislip and Northolt, with further opportunities planned as the programme progresses.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Construction Manager looking for a long-term permanent position on one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of electrical works on site, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing electrical installation works on site
• Managing supervisors, subcontractors and site labour
• Monitoring programme and progress
• Ensuring installations meet project quality requirements
• Health & safety management
• Reviewing RAMS and coordinating site activities
• Managing inspections, snagging and completion
• Supporting testing, commissioning and handover
• Liaising with the client and wider project team

About You

We are looking for candidates with:

• Strong electrical building services experience
• Previous experience as an Electrical Construction Manager / Electrical Site Manager
• Experience delivering large-scale M&E packages
• Strong site and subcontractor management experience
• SMSTS and relevant CSCS/ECS card

Previous rail experience is highly desirable, although this does not need to be specifically Network Rail.

Experience gained on HS2, Crossrail, London Underground/TfL, station, depot or similar rail projects would all be relevant.

No trackside qualifications are required. The important factor is an understanding of the processes, quality requirements and standards involved in delivering major rail projects.
