Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join the United Utilities Framework in the North West (Blackburn area). The role involves delivering commissioning works from completion of construction through to Take-Over, with a 45-hour work week and no sponsorship offered.

You will work with a multi-discipline team, perform electrical inspections, test power and ICA systems, and support safe, timely project handovers.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 qualification and ECS (JIB) Gold Card holder.
• Experience commissioning water processes and MEICA projects.
• Authorised Person (LV) duties and safety qualifications (IOSH, SSSTS or SMSTS).
• Strong attention to detail with ability to produce inspection and test documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-discipline team.

Responsibilities

• Electrical inspection of cable terminations and glanding in the field; produce marked-up as-built electrical drawings.
• Testing and commissioning of electrical power and ICA control systems including motors and instrumentation.
• Initial start-up and wet commissioning of pumps, blowers, and process equipment.
• Identify and resolve electrical issues through fault finding and troubleshooting; ensure compliance with safety rules.
