Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineer to join the United Utilities Water Framework team in the North West.

You will help deliver mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation works across water assets, coordinating design, procurement, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and handover. The role requires suitable engineering qualifications (HNC/HND or degree) and CSCS card, with a proactive, safety-conscious approach and strong

Qualifications

• As a Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineer, you will deliver mechanical/electrical works on capital projects within the water sector.
• You hold a relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND or degree) and a CSCS card.
• You are proactive, organised and safety-conscious with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical work packages (pumps, valves, pipework, MCCs, LV distribution, drives, instrumentation and control).
• Review design information, drawings and specifications for compliance with project requirements.
• Support procurement and package management, liaising with designers, construction teams and subcontractors.
• Produce RAMS, permits, inspection and test plans, commissioning packs and handover records.
• Monitor installation progress, quality, safety, programme interfaces; assist with testing and commissioning.
