Job summary

Kier Group plc in the North West is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineer to support the United Utilities Water Framework team. The role involves coordinating design, procurement, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, handover and close-out across water, wastewater and pumping assets, with 45 hours per week and some capacity for flexible hours.

You will work with our Project Manager, site management, engineers and suppliers to ensure safe, compliant delivery on time

Qualifications

Experience delivering mechanical and/or electrical works on capital projects, ideally in UK water/utilities.
Strong understanding of M&E systems including pumps, valves, MCCs, LV distribution.
Ability to read and coordinate technical drawings, P&IDs and equipment schedules.
Holds a minimum HNC/HND or degree with CSCS card.

Responsibilities

Coordinating mechanical and electrical work packages including pumps, valves, pipework, MCCs, LV distribution, drives, instrumentation and control systems.
Reviewing design information, specifications, drawings and technical submissions to ensure compliance.
Supporting procurement and package management with designers, construction teams and subcontractors.
Producing and coordinating RAMS, permits, inspection and test plans, commissioning packs and handover records.
Monitoring installation progress, quality, safety and programme interfaces; assisting with testing and commissioning.
