Job summary

OCS is seeking a Building Services Engineer to join our facilities management team in the UK. The role covers general maintenance, statutory checks, and on-site support, with a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri) and occasional weekend on-call.

You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance across offices, commercial, and industrial sites, using basic plumbing, electrical, and fabric skills, while ensuring health and safety compliance and maintaining accurate site records.

Qualifications

• Craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds 2350/NVQ Level 3).
• Current wiring regulations qualification (18th Edition) or equivalent (City & Guilds 2381-18).
• Valid CSCS card or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan, inspect, and carry out repairs or preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns promptly.
• Carry out reactive and planned services across offices, commercial, distribution and industrial premises.
• Perform statutory inspections (Emergency Lighting, Water Temperature checks, Fire Door inspection and repair, Plumbing, Lighting).
• Provide professional customer service and handle complaints professionally.
• Support subcontractors on site and provide technical guidance to the client.
• Maintain site documentation and ensure health and safety compliance.
