Job summary

Travail Employment Group is recruiting for an Electrically biased Maintenance Team Leader in Goole. You will lead a small engineering team, remain hands-on with maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement, and support production with engineering solutions.

The role focuses on a days-based schedule with no weekend work, offering opportunity to influence reliability and site improvements within a growing manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance background in manufacturing.
• 18th Edition (or willingness to update).
• Experience working with electrically controlled equipment.
• Knowledge of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to diagnose faults and resolve electrical failures.
• Computer literate with maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a small team of engineers.
• Manage and develop the Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) programme.
• Prioritise maintenance activities and coordinate engineering resources.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance.
• Support production teams with engineering solutions.
• Maintain compliance, documentation and safety standards.
• Assist with contractor management and site improvement projects.

Join a well-established manufacturing business as the Electrical Maintenance Team Leader, leading a small engineering team while remaining hands-on with maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior maintenance engineer ready to step into leadership, or an experienced team leader looking for a stable days-based role with no weekend working.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a small team of one mechanically biased and one newly qualified engineer.
• Manage and develop the Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) programme.
