Join a well-established manufacturing business as the Electrical Maintenance Team Leader, leading a small engineering team while remaining hands-on with maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior maintenance engineer ready to step into leadership, or an experienced team leader looking for a stable days-based role with no weekend working.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and support a small team of one mechanically biased and one newly qualified engineer.
- Manage and develop the Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) programme.
- Prioritise maintenance activities and coordinate engineering resources.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance.
- Support production teams with engineering solutions.
- Maintain compliance, documentation and safety standards.
- Assist with contractor management and site improvement projects.
Requirements
Essential- Electrical maintenance background in manufacturing
- 18th Edition (or willingness to update)
- Experience working with electrically controlled equipment.
- Knowledge of conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to diagnose faults and resolve electrical failures.
- Computer literate with the ability to use maintenance management systems and maintenance records.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
- Some leadership or supervisory experience
