King & Moffatt Building Services is seeking an Electrical Authorised Person to lead safe planning, authorisation and control of LV electrical work on complex projects.

You will administer Safe Systems of Work, review risk assessments, manage permits, and ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Rules. The role requires strong leadership, documentation discipline, and collaboration with commissioning teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Essential LV electrical experience and installation knowledge.
• Proven ability to operate within Permit to Work or Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
• Strong knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
• Ability to interpret schematics, single-line diagrams and switching schedules.
• Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
• Strong safety leadership with authority to stop unsafe work.

Responsabilités

• Issue, control, suspend, and cancel Permits to Work and Sanctions to Test.
• Administer electrical Safe Systems of Work across live project environments.
• Prepare and review Electrical Safety Programmes for planned activities.
• Ensure all work is properly authorised before commencement.
• Coordinate energisation activities with commissioning teams and client representatives.
• Maintain accurate electrical records and safety documentation.

NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, City & Guilds 2360/2365/5357 or equivalent

BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations qualification (18th Edition)

Experience on LV electrical distribution and installation

Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations 1989

Knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations

Electrical isolation and switching procedures

Ability to read electrical schematics and switching schedules
